I started throwing parties for my real single friends in 2022, and since then I’ve become a certified Dating Coach and founder of Met Through Friends. After teaching myself how to enjoy dating (and finding my fiancé in the process), I now love playing wingwoman. It’s my goal to help social, successful singles get off of dating apps and make amazing new connections IRL.

I met my fiancé ten days before COVID lockdowns hit NYC:
Met Through Friends has been a bit of a career pivot, but I’m loving every second of it.
I got my B.S. and M.S. in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University:
I love a good cocktail or glass of wine, and never get tired of checking out new bars and restaurants in the city.
I spent 3 years working as a bartender in NYC and even trained as a sommelier:

Get to Know Me
As a professional host, I’ve come to love a good fun fact or icebreaker. Here are some of mine:
I threw my first singles party for my own friends in 2022. I knew they were frustrated with dating apps, and felt like there was “nobody good left.” However, I knew that they were great, “dateable” people, and was sure they knew other great people too. What would happen if I got them all in a room together, and gave them a nudge?
After a couple got together after the very first party (actually a pair of friends who came as each other’s +1s!), I knew I was onto something. There are great people out there, and they could be your coworkers, siblings, cousins, college pals, friends-of-friends, neighbors, or even exes. In the two years that followed, I threw bigger and better singles parties until they officially outgrew my apartment: the last one hit 60 RSVPs before I remembered to cap the capacity!
I officially turned it into a business on Valentine’s Day of 2024, and in the year that followed we hosted 50+ events for 2,000+ single friends. We’re still just getting started, but are excited to be part of a bigger movement that prioritizes kind, brave, fun, in-person connection. We’re saying goodbye to dating despair, and hello to helping each other find love.
